Give your kids an extra squeeze today

Not to be a downer on the last day of a holiday weekend, but earlier this week I discovered this blog:

www.punkrockmommy.org

I somehow came across it while blog-hopping, and although it is some of the saddest material I will ever read, something made me keep reading.

Andrea passed yesterday morning and is no longer suffering, but I can only imagine what her family and friends are going through.

Since reading her blog, I have not stopped thinking about how important it is to cherish everything you have and never take even one minute for granted.

MH, I cannot describe how fierce my love is for you. Daddy and I will always do our best to shield you from pain and heartache, provide you with the tools you need to become a strong, caring, and successful woman, and be the kind of parents ours have been to us. We are so blessed to have been blessed by your entry into our lives, and we will never take that for granted. I hope the love you feel from us now only multiplies as you get older and learn to understand that there is nothing in the world we wouldn't do for you.

My friends, give your little (and big) ones an extra squeeze today!

I started reading this the other night after our chat. So moving. I went over and read her last post, it was just beautiful. I cried when I was reading the one from her husband, I feel for them, and I can't imagine....

It definately makes me thankful for everyone I have close to me.

My word! I was reading that blog while nursing, and I was crying so hard that I'm sure Kingston thought it was raining!

I've been praying for her family since reading their blog....

I definatly took some time to get some extra snuggles from my kiddies!

I just read her blog today for the first time. My heart just broke for her children, her husband....I just can't imagine writing a post that begins "If you are reading this, I am already gone". So incredibly sad.
