Mommy's First Contest!

So, the last 24 hours around here have been quite a whirlwind, to say the least. Trust me, when I get over my "coma" state (I have occasional days we have coined "coma" days, where I've had too much and my poor body just can't take it anymore and I can't get out of bed AT. ALL. And today has been one of them - bad timing!) there is a big post coming with the details of said whirlwind.

Anyways, I thought it would be fun to have a little contest in the meantime. The first person who can take a stab at (and guess correctly) what the following term means in actual English, will get a little bloggy good mail from me (i.e. prize!). As for what this prize is? You'll have to play to find out!

Soooo, friends, the task would be: define the term "ATRISTERY", which is defintely a real word (when not affected by a bit of Mad Hatter-ism). A common household word.

A couple of points:

1) This is how the Mad Hatter is consistently pronouncing the word
2) There is a post coming this weekend about how "ATRISTERY" has created such a whirlwind around here!

Edited to add: The Mad Hatter was not in any way the cause of said "atristery" - when we explained to her the reason for the whirlwind that became our lives overnight (because said whirlwind happened after she went to bed), that is how she started prounouncing the word. Hope that might help :)
