You know it's just gonna be one of those days

When the Mad Hatter is already in time out before 8AM.

When the Mommy did not fall asleep until after 4AM (with the help of a sleeping pill) and woke up before 8AM.

When the Mommy cannot drink coffee because everything is giving her tummy severe pains and she is petrified to drink coffee before going to massage torture therapy.

When the Mommy has a big case of PMS and her back is hurting more than usual.

When Mommy and Daddy have to watch a Cutco Knife presentation to help out a "friend of a friend" tonight.

And Mommy has no desire or need to buy knives, but felt guilty saying no to the poor 17 year old working so hard at his summer job.

And finally tried to fit him in at a time that the Mad Hatter would be asleep so she wouldn't keep interrupting us.

So we could get it over quickly.

At 8:30 tonight.

Yep, it's just gonna be one of those days.

Edited to add: about 2 minutes after hitting publish, I told the MH she could come out of her time out. She walked into my room and in the sweetest voice said "Mom? Thanks for reminding me not to take this off the bed. I'm very sorry." COMPLETELY on her own. She had pulled our king size comforter off the bed, had it spread on the floor, and DH had put her in time out because she was acting out of control and refused to help him put it back on the bed. She cried like crazy, but this is one of those moments seconds where I feel like maybe we might be doing something a little bit right. Maybe today won't be so bad after all.

Hang in there! (By the way...I sold Cutco for a little while when I was in college! Fabulous knives and if I could afford it, I'd replace the ones I still have with a brandy new set! They do have a lifetime warranty - hehe) MISS YOU!

Gotta love little kidlets and their super sweet apologies. My 3 year old only apologizes on her terms... which isn't very often.

BTW - my inlaws have Cutco Knives - and they're AWESOME!

Well, good for MH!!! What maturity she shows, along with her cuteness and elegance :-) I hope the day doesn't go too bad for you . . . I hope the knife presentation is better than you hope. I hate things you do b/c you feel you "should".

I'd love to have a set of really great knives. All of mine have been dulled from opening boxes or trying to cut rocks. I think as long as I have a kid in the house, no nice knives for me.

You might want to consider a nice little double dose of pain meds to help you get through the presentation!

MH is such a little lady for coming and apologizing, if only all 3 year olds could be that way. Hope your day goes better and that you take it easy with your back.

Three years olds are great aren't they? (Despite all their flaws!) Thomas has taken to saying 'I'm really sorry mummy I didn't mean to, it was an accident' whether it was hitting his brother or answering back.

It's nice when 'one of those days' goes to bed. It all starts to feel better than.

Good job on MH's part, geesh the manners :)

Gotta love her!

And maybe you couldn't go to sleep because you were chatting on Gmail until the wee hours.

Thanks for the chat, and hope your back is better soon.

Funny how sometimes one moment can turn the whole day around.

What a sweet girl.
